Reverse description A large double-headed axe (labrys) in the central field, the primary civic symbol of Tenedos, with its broad symmetrical blades depicted in full face. To the lower left of the axe head, a bunch of grapes is shown; to the lower right, a rightward-facing diademed bust of Artemis with a quiver visible at her far shoulder, accompanied by a monogram. The entire design is enclosed within a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, framing the composition. The ethnic inscription ΤΕΝΕΔΙΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing community.
