Obverse description Forepart of a bridled horse prancing to right, rendered in bold relief with carefully engraved musculature. A Nike flies to the right above the horse, extending a wreath to crown it. A barley grain appears in the right field. The composition reflects strong Sicilian Greek artistic influence adapted to Punic iconographic traditions.
