| Reverse description | Apollo Grynios standing facing left, clad in a long chiton, holding a laurel branch in his extended right hand and a phiale (libation bowl) in his left. To his right stands a tall, decorated cult omphalos, and at his feet rests a situla (bucket). The entire composition is enclosed within a large laurel wreath. The ethnic legend MYPINAIΩN is inscribed vertically to the left of the figure, with a monogram (A within a square) also visible in the left field. The whole design reflects the refined Hellenistic artistic tradition associated with the sanctuary of Apollo at Grynion. |
