Obverse description Facing three-quarter bust of Helios, the sun god, turned slightly to the right, rendered in fine high relief. The youthful, idealised face is framed by abundant, richly modelled curling hair radiating outward in all directions, characteristic of the god's solar attributes. The treatment of the portrait is notably naturalistic for the period, with sensitively rendered facial features including almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The flan is irregular and the coin fills nearly the entire surface, leaving minimal field.
