| Obverse description | Galloping quadriga advancing to the right, driven by Nike who holds the reins in her left hand. A laurel wreath appears in the upper field above the charioteer. The ethnic inscription ΣΕΛΙΝΟΤΙΟΝ is distributed across the field. A grain ear is depicted in the exergue, serving as a civic emblem of Selinos. The composition reflects the high-relief Sicilian die-cutting tradition of the late Classical period. |
