Reverse description A double-headed labrys (axe), the principal civic emblem of Tenedos, displayed upright in the center of the field and encircled by a laurel wreath. The legend ΤΕΝΕΔΙΩΝ arcs above the labrys. Flanking the handle are a monogram to the left and, to the right, a small female head wearing a stephane; a bunch of grapes appears to the left of the handle, serving as an additional secondary symbol.
