Reverse description A fully open rose bloom viewed from above occupies the central field, with a budding rose sprig to the right. Below the rose, the letters Ξ – E are divided on either side of the stem. In the left field, the letter A appears above a lion's head facing right. The inscription POΔION is arranged around the design. The entire composition is set within a deep incuse square, a hallmark of Chian-Rhodian standard tetradrachms of this period.
