Reverse description A finely modelled head of Arethousa faces left, her hair bound with a wreath of grain ears, and adorned with a triple-pendant earring and necklace, reflecting the high artistic standard of Sicilian coinage of this period. Two dolphins are disposed to the left of the head, with a single flower to the right, framing the portrait in the field. The design closely parallels contemporary Syracusan issues and demonstrates the Punic mint's adoption of Hellenic iconographic conventions for commercial circulation in Sicily.
