| Obverse description | Laureate head of Apollo Smintheos in right-facing profile, rendered in the Hellenistic manner with finely detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath. A bow and quiver are visible over the deity's shoulder, serving as identifying attributes of the god in his aspect as archer and protector against vermin. The portrait exhibits the characteristic high relief and idealised naturalism of second-century BC Asia Minor die-cutting. The field is plain, with no visible legend or exergual inscription. |
