Reverse description Shallow quadripartite incuse square of irregular form, characteristic of early archaic coinage struck with a simple punch die. The incuse depression is divided into four sections by a raised cross bar, each quarter displaying a rough, uneven surface texture. The surrounding flat field is broad and unadorned, consistent with the primitive striking technique employed by the Derrones tribe during the late sixth century BC. No legend or subsidiary device is present.
