| Obverse description | Bust of Athena Parthenos facing right, wearing a triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with a palmette at the brow and elaborate floral and serpentine decorations along the bowl; flowing locks of hair emerge beneath the helmet and fall across the neck and shoulder. The goddess's features are rendered in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of the New Style Athenian coinage, with a dignified, idealized profile. A beaded border encircles the design. |

| Reverse description | Athena's owl (Athene noctua) standing in three-quarter facing position atop an amphora, rendered in careful detail with feathers finely delineated; flanking monograms appear in the field to either side. The piloi (twin caps) of the Dioskouroi are depicted in the lower right field. The entire device is enclosed within a wreath of olive leaves, the civic symbol of Athens. The ethnic legend ΑΘΕ appears within the field, affirming the Athenian civic authority responsible for this New Style coinage. |
