| Obverse description | Draped bust of Kore-Soteira facing left, her hair elaborately dressed with a stephane adorned with a small ornament at the brow, the locks swept back in voluminous waves beneath a sakkos or veil; a pendant earring is visible at the neck. The legend ΣΩΤΕΙΡΑ appears in Greek characters along the upper field, identifying the deity as the Saviour goddess. The portrait is rendered in the refined Hellenistic style characteristic of late fourth-century Mysian coinage, with softly modelled facial features and meticulous attention to the coiffure. |
