Reverse description A horse standing to right, rendered in a naturalistic style, with a palm tree visible in the background — the palm being a quintessential symbol of Carthage (Phoenicia). In the left field, a crescent moon appears on some specimens, and along the exergual line a poppy head is present on certain dies, both elements serving as secondary type markers distinguishing die varieties within this series. The composition is clean and monumental, occupying the full reverse field without legend, consistent with early Sicilian-Punic coinage practice.
