Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with long flowing locks falling behind the neck; a laurel wreath crowns the deity's hair, its leaves rendered with careful detail. The portrait displays a youthful, idealized countenance with a straight nose and slightly parted lips. A bow is partially visible behind the neck at the left, serving as an attribute identifying the god. The field is smooth and unencumbered, allowing the high-relief portrait to dominate the flan.
