Obverse description Facing head of Helios, turned slightly to the right, rendered in fine high relief with characteristically flowing, windswept hair radiating around the visage. The god's features are modelled in the idealised Rhodian style, with softly delineated eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The hair is arranged in thick, undulating locks swept back from the forehead and fanning across the flan, conveying the radiant energy of the sun deity. No legend appears on the obverse; the field is otherwise plain.
