| Obverse description | Horse galloping right in high relief, rendered with musculature and dynamism characteristic of Sicilian die-cutting traditions. Above, Nike flying right with outstretched arms, her drapery swept back, in the act of crowning the horse with a wreath. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. No legend present in the field. The composition closely reflects Syracusan artistic influence adapted for Punic coinage. |
