Obverse description A Macedonian club displayed vertically in the center of the field, enclosed within a laurel or oak wreath whose branches extend symmetrically to either side and meet at the top. The club, a symbol associated with Herakles and Seleucid royal iconography, is rendered in relief with a knotted shaft. No legend appears on this face of the coin.
