| Obverse description | Bust of Christ Pantokrator depicted full-length and standing, bearded and nimbate with a cruciform nimbus, facing front. Christ raises his right hand in a gesture of benediction while holding the Gospels in his left hand. The Christogram IC XC appears flanking the figure in the field, accompanied by pairs of crosses or stars to either side, rendered in the late Byzantine hammered style characteristic of Cyprus under Isaac Komnenos. |
