Reverse description Persian king or heroic archer, wearing the kidaris (royal tiara) and kandys (sleeved court robe), depicted in the canonical kneeling-running posture to the right. The figure holds a dagger in the raised right hand and a strung bow in the extended left hand. The type follows the widely distributed Achaemenid archer motif common to the fractional silver coinage of Cilicia during the late fifth and fourth centuries BC.
