| Obverse description | The heraldic shield of the Trivulzio family occupies the central field, displaying the characteristic vertical pale motif of the family arms. The shield is rendered in a late Gothic style typical of North Italian Renaissance coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the device, with the circumscribed Latin legend running between the inner and outer borders. The legend abbreviates the titles and name of Johann Jakob Trivulzio, Marshal of France and Lord of Mesocco. |
