Reverse description The simple undivided arms of Lorraine — a bend sinister accompanied by three alerions — displayed on an upright shield set within an elaborate Baroque ornamental cartouche of foliate scrollwork. The shield is surmounted by a ducal crown. The date 1716 and the devotional legend IN · TE · DOMINE SPERAVI are distributed around the shield within the toothed border, the date appearing to the left and the legend to the right and upper field.
