| Obverse description | Right-facing draped and armored bust of Duke Charles III, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and displaying a short beard, rendered in the Renaissance portrait style characteristic of early 16th-century Savoyard coinage. The effigy is set within an inner beaded border, with the circumferential Latin legend interrupted by a cross pattée at the commencement. The portrait exhibits fine engraving detail on the hat brim, collar, and chainmail or plate armor visible at the shoulder and chest. |

| Reverse description | The crowned shield of Savoy — bearing the distinctive white cross on a plain field — is depicted centrally, surmounted by an ornate ducal crown with floral finials. Mint-master's initials or mint marks appear flanking the shield in the field. The arms are contained within an inner beaded border, surrounded by a circumferential Latin legend beginning with a cross pattée. The overall design is boldly struck and typical of the hammered Renaissance coinage produced at multiple Savoyard mints during the reign of Charles III. |
