| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Minerva facing right, rendered in the archaic Italic style characteristic of second Punic War-era bronzes from Apulia. The helmet, of Corinthian type, is depicted with incised detail on the crest and cheek-guards. Three pellets, the mark of value for the teruncius (three unciae), are visible in the field. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hand-struck production of this period. |
