| Obverse description | Facing bust of Tamanaco, a 16th-century indigenous chief, rendered in high relief with long hair framing the face. The series legend arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, and the chief's name appears in the lower field. Two small engraver's initials are visible in the mid-field on either side of the bust. |
