Reverse description A large, ornately quartered coat of arms of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, surmounted by an elaborate electoral crown, occupies the central field. The shield displays the multiple heraldic quarterings of the joint dukes, supported by decorative mantling. The date 1694 is divided across the field to either side of the arms, and the denomination mark '1/3' appears in the exergue flanked by the mint initials 'ICB'. A circular Latin legend encircles the entire device.
