| Obverse description | The obverse field is occupied entirely by a multi-line Latin commemorative inscription arranged in nine horizontal lines, recording the signing of the marriage pact between the Serene Prince, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, and the Serene Princess of Hungary, Bohemia, and Archduchess of Austria, struck at Vienna in the year MDCCXIX (1719). A small crowned shield device appears at the top of the field above the text. The engraver's initials I.G.S. appear in the lower portion of the field beneath the date. The reeded border frames the inscription with clean, precise milled dentils. |
