Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the city of Toruń — a crenellated triple-towered gate with an arched portal — surrounded by an elaborate cartouche. Flanking the shield are the spread wings of an eagle displayed, whose bust with a female head appears as a crest above the shield, a characteristic heraldic device of the Toruń civic arms. The date is divided across the field to either side of the shield, with the mintmaster's initials I-I placed below. A continuous Latin legend in the outer border reads: MONETA. NOVA. ARGENT.CIVIT.THORVNENSIS, identifying this as the new silver coinage of the City of Toruń. The entire composition is enclosed within a dentilated inner border.
