Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of Władysław IV Waza facing right, wearing a crown and plate armor with a gorget, holding a scepter over the right shoulder and an orb surmounted by a cross in the left hand. The king's long hair falls to the shoulder, and his portrait is rendered in high relief in the baroque style. A continuous Latin legend in capital letters runs around the periphery of the field, reading the royal titles of the king of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.
