| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski facing right, portrayed in a distinguished military or court costume with elaborate decoration at the shoulder. The king's hair is styled in the fashion of the period with a queue. A circular Latin legend runs along the border, reading STANISLAUS AUGUSTUS D.G. REX POL. D. LIT., identifying the monarch by name and royal title. The portrait is executed in a refined neoclassical engraving style typical of the Warsaw Mint in the 1760s. The field surrounding the effigy is smooth and unadorned. |
