| Obverse description | Draped armored bust of Władysław IV Vasa facing right, wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a lace collar and a lion-head shoulder guard; the king is depicted with long flowing hair, a mustache, and a pointed beard in the Baroque portrait style. A circular raised inner border frames the effigy, with the royal titulary legend running continuously around the periphery in Latin capital letters. |

| Reverse description | The arms of Gdańsk (Danzig) displayed centrally: a crowned oval shield bearing two silver crosses on a red field (rendered in relief), supported on either side by rampant lions facing inward, their forepaws resting on the shield. Above the achievement, two crossed palm or laurel branches are tied together beneath the crown, forming a decorative crest. The date is divided and placed in the lower field beneath the shield, flanked by the mintmaster's initials. The full Latin legend of the city's silver coinage encircles the composition along the outer border. |
