Reverse description Central shield bearing the arms of the city of Elbląg — a white cross on a red field above a smaller cross — enclosed within an ornate cartouche. A winged angel figure (the city's guardian) appears above the shield with wings spread. The entire composition is framed by two symmetrical laurel branches curving outward from the base. The date 1671 is divided on either side of the angel in the upper field. A circular Latin legend along the periphery reads the mint inscription of the city of Elbląg.
