Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Augustus III (Friedrich August II of Saxony) facing right, wearing a royal crown and elaborately decorated armor with a draped mantle over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely engraved curling hair falling to the shoulder. The circular legend in Latin reads D.G. FRID. AUGUSTUS REX POL. EL. SAX., distributed around the periphery of the field.
