Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate intertwined royal cypher 'AR' (Augustus Rex) in large calligraphic script, surmounted by a jewelled royal crown. The denomination '32 . Gr .' is inscribed in the lower exergual area beneath a horizontal line. The plain field is framed by a raised inner rim, giving the design a bold and regal character consistent with early 18th-century Saxon court engraving.

Reverse description The reverse features a finely rendered naturalistic moth or butterfly depicted en face with wings spread horizontally, filling the central field. The wings display stippled circular markings across their surface, while the segmented abdomen is rendered in high relief with a tapering, elongated form. Fine antennae emerge from the head at the top. The composition is framed by a double raised rim against a smooth field, characteristic of a presentation or pattern piece from the Dresden Mint.
