Obverse description Crowned, armored, and draped bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruff collar and royal crown with pearled band. The effigy is rendered in the Renaissance style typical of late 16th-century Polish coinage. A circular beaded border frames the design. The Latin legend encircles the bust, reading SIGIS III D G REX POLO D LIT.

Reverse description Central composite shield displaying the arms of Poland (crowned eagle) and Lithuania (mounted knight, the Pahonia), surmounted by the Vasa dynastic shield (sheaves), flanked by the Imperial eagle to the left and a lion rampant to the right. The numeral VI appears at the top of the field, denoting the denomination. Below the shield, two smaller escutcheons flank the mint mark and date. The three-line inscription in the field reads GROS ARG / SEX REGI / POLONII, with the date 1595 and mint-master initials I·F below.
