Reverse description A detailed panoramic view of the city of Danzig (Gdańsk) as seen from the waterfront, depicting the skyline with numerous church spires, towers and rooftops rendered in fine engraved detail. Above the cityscape, an eagle in flight descends carrying a laurel wreath in its talons, set against a sky with stylised clouds. The lower portion of the field is framed by a laurel branch. The whole central design is enclosed within a beaded border, with the circular Latin commemorative legend surrounding the composition, recording the Peace of Oliva concluded at Danzig on 3 May 1660. The engraver's initials appear at the base of the reverse field.
