Reverse description The reverse bears a three-line Latin inscription in bold capital letters reading SOLID / CIVITAT / THORUN, denoting a solidus (szeląg) of the city of Torun (Thorn). A rosette or six-petalled flower ornament appears above the inscription, while below the legend the civic arms of Torun are displayed: a crenellated gateway with an arched portal, flanked by two additional rosette ornaments. The field is plain and the design is contained within a plain inner rim following the coin's irregular flan edge.
