| Obverse description | Central field features the interlaced royal cypher of Stanisław August Poniatowski (SAR — Stanislaus Augustus Rex), rendered as an ornate monogram surmounted by a royal crown. The date 1766 is divided on either side of the monogram, with '17' to the left and '66' to the right. The monogram is executed in a bold, decorative style typical of Polish royal coinage of the period. No peripheral legend is present; the design occupies the full flan. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a four-line Latin inscription arranged in the field, reading SOLID / CIVITAT / GEDAN / F.L.S., denoting this as a solidus (schilling) of the City of Gdańsk (Civitas Gedanensis). Below the inscription, the mint mark F.L.S. flanks a crowned anchor cross, the heraldic symbol of Gdańsk. The lettering is in a bold Roman serif style, filling the flan with no surrounding border legend. The overall design is stark and typographic, consistent with civic coinage of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth period. |
