Reverse description The reverse bears a bold three-line Latin legend reading 'SOLID / CIVITAT / GEDAN' occupying the upper two-thirds of the field, identifying this as a solidus of the City of Gdańsk. Below the main legend, a crowned Danzig cross — the heraldic symbol of the city — is prominently placed in the lower central field, flanked by the mintmaster's initials 'F·L·S' arranged on either side. A small decorative stop or ornament appears at the top of the field above the principal inscription. The lettering is rendered in large, bold Roman capitals characteristic of the civic coinage tradition of the Free City of Gdańsk.
