Obverse description Convex oval sycee ingot of cast silver exhibiting the characteristic saddle or boat shape associated with Chinese yuansi (round thread) type currency. The upper face displays a series of concentric ripple lines radiating outward from a central depression or hollow, formed naturally during the casting and cooling process. The surface is lightly textured and irregular at the edges, consistent with hand-cast production. No inscriptions or mint marks are present on this face.
