Obverse description Tamil legend reading 'Sundarapandyan' arranged in two or three lines across the field, with a vertically oriented conch shell (sankha) device positioned below the inscription. The lettering is rendered in medieval Tamil script typical of Later Pandya coinage, boldly struck though somewhat irregular due to the hammered fabric. The conch, a royal emblem of the Pandya dynasty, is depicted in low relief within the lower portion of the flan.

Reverse description Standing royal figure depicted in frontal or near-frontal orientation, rendered in the stylized manner characteristic of Later Pandya copper coinage. A fish emblem, the dynastic symbol of the Pandyas, is shown adjacent to the figure's left hand. The design is executed in low relief with the broad, somewhat schematic artistic style typical of medieval South Indian copper kasu issues.
