(Translation: Sultan Selim Khan May he be victorious Struck in Tripoli West 1203)
Reverse description Four lines of bold Arabic calligraphic legend filling the central field, presenting the sultan's imperial titles: 'Sultan of the Two Lands and Khan of the Two Seas, the Sultan son of the Sultan,' with the regnal year numeral (14) inscribed within the composition. Horizontal ruled lines separate the legend registers, and the whole is contained within a plain inner circle and an outer beaded border consistent with Ottoman provincial hammered gold coinage of the period.
