| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan of irregular round shape with dense Arabic calligraphic inscription filling the entire field, arranged in multiple horizontal lines. The legend, executed in a bold Thuluth-style script, occupies the central field and is divided by a horizontal rule. The regnal year 1012 AH (1604 AD) appears in Arabic numerals at the base of the obverse field. The surface shows the characteristic uneven texture of a hand-struck Ottoman gold coin, with the inscription struck in high relief against a flat, unadorned field. |
