Obverse description Countermark 'STM' within a beaded circle, applied to the obverse of a French Cayenne Colony 2 Sous host coin. The host coin displays a royal crown above three fleur-de-lis arranged in a triangular formation, all enclosed within a circular legend. The countermark serves as a validation mark authorizing the host coin for circulation in Sint Maarten. The design elements of the host coin reflect French colonial iconography typical of early nineteenth-century Cayenne coinage.

Reverse description Reverse of the French Cayenne Colony 2 Sous host coin, featuring a stacked multi-line textual legend occupying the central field, surrounded by a circular peripheral legend. The inscriptions are rendered in capital Latin lettering consistent with French colonial monetary issues of the late eighteenth to early nineteenth century. No additional countermark is present on this side. The surface retains the characteristics of the original struck host coin.
