| Obverse description | Applied oval countermark reading 'StM' within a beaded circle, punched onto the obverse of a French Cayenne Colony 2 Sous host coin. The host coin displays a crown above three fleur-de-lis arranged in a triangular composition, all within a circular border. A peripheral legend surrounds the central design of the host piece. The countermark was applied by Sint Maarten authorities to validate the host coin for local circulation. |
