| Reverse description | A long-footed cross with flared terminals divides the reverse field into four quadrants, at the centre of which is placed a quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Guelders — an eagle in the upper dexter quarter and diagonal barry stripes in the lower sinister quarter — executed in the Gothic heraldic tradition. The cross extends to the beaded inner border, its elongated foot projecting prominently into the lower field. The Latin legend is distributed around the outer margin within the irregular hammered flan, separated from the inner device by a beaded circle. |
