Reverse description A long cross with extended arms divides the reverse into four quarters, intersecting a beaded inner circle and extending into the outer legend field. Three pellets are disposed symmetrically in each angle formed by the cross arms, a design characteristic of Flemish sterlings struck in imitation of English sterling coinage. The reverse legend naming the mint of Aalst is contained between the beaded inner circle and the milled outer rim.
