Reverse description A crab depicted frontally in full view, with its carapace rendered in relief at the centre, claws and multiple legs extending symmetrically to either side with fine detail. The type is set within a shallow, roughly square incuse punch, characteristic of early hammered Greek silver coinage of the late Archaic period. The incuse depression shows a slightly sunken, irregular surface around the central device. No inscription or legend is present.
