Obverse description Central design features a prominent ear of barley or wheat rendered in high relief, with full grain head and flanking leaves extending toward the coin's lower field. The inscription CAMV is divided across the upper field, with 'CA' to the left and 'MV' to the right of the central stalk, referencing the mint city of Camulodunum. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of late British Iron Age hammered gold coinage. The design is executed in the characteristic naturalistic style associated with Cunobeline's later issues.
