Obverse description Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, with characteristic convex central boss and two lateral cutouts visible at the sides, all set within a plain border. The shield is depicted face-on, dominating the flan, with the incurved edges and handle-bar cutouts faithfully reproduced in the distinctive Boiotian oval form. The surface of the shield exhibits a smooth, domed center contrasting with the recessed border area. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse. The die work is typical of the early fourth century BC Theban mint tradition.
