Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of a Roman emperor — identified as Vespasian or Titus — facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portraiture tradition of the Bosporan mint. The effigy displays curly hair crowned with a laurel wreath, with a broad neck and truncated draped shoulder visible below. The modeling is bold and slightly stylized, characteristic of Panticapaean goldsmith work of the late 1st century AD. The flat field shows no legend or border, consistent with the obverse type of this stater series.
